IMAGINING BEAUTY THROUGH SOUND

Allow me to suggest a game. A game that contains both a risk and a revelation. The game consists of walking with your eyes closed, possibly between 5 and 6 in the morning, in Venice. The risk, of course, is to fall into a canal but the revelation that awaits you, canal permitting, is to rediscover the sounds of your apparent and personal silence. The acoustic postcards tell you about the peculiar sounds of this wonderful musical instrument called: Venice.

The Acoustic Postcards Venice are a cycle, just one minute each, that I have been working on for a few years. The idea is to use fragments of soundscapes, as if they were the image of a postcard, and “write“ my “thoughts“ on them, electronically transforming on them.
